Claude Winfield Hodges

Claude Winfield Hodges passed away at his Atlanta home surrounded by loved ones. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy S Hodges. He divided his time between Atlanta and St. Augustine, Florida. He served his country in the National Guard and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant First Class. He is survived by his three children: Nancy Rick Conable, Glenn Merry Belle Hodges and Greg Joy Hodges; sister Patsy Larry Wiley; his nine grandchildren: Savannah and Grant Hodges; Mark, Allison & Adam Michelle Conable; and, Stuart Susan, Ryan Becca, Evan Kerry Hodges and Shannon Thomas; and his 16 great grandchildren; and, brother in law and friend Donald Skender. The family wishes to extend gratitude to his caregiver Angeline Graham and to Homestead Hospice. In lieu of flowers please send contributions to the American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be hold on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 2pm at Chamblee First United Methodist Church 4147 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd.
Being a longtime friend of his daughter Nancy, I feel like I knew him well. He was a good family man that loved his family. My prayers go out to Nancy and her family.
