Charles Albert Adams

Charlie Adams died Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Uni Health of Brookhaven. He was born on January 30, 1924 in Macon, Georgia, graduated in 1942 from Lanier Boys High School, attended Mercer University and enlisted in the US Air Force during World War II where he served in England. After discharge, he graduated from the High Museum of
Art with a BA degree. Charlie worked for forty-eight years with Fred Reed Picture Framing. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a true artist evidenced by the things he created. Charlie is preceded in death by his daughter Marilyn, his son Don, and his grandson Joel. He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years Helen, his son Gary and wife Debbie, children Andrea and Tommy, his daughter-in-law Suzanne Adams-Page and husband Ken, and her children Lyndsey and Jonathan Adams. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Shallowford Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shallowford Presbyterian Church at 2375 Shallowford Road, NE Atlanta, GA 31345.
