Cathleen Mary Donaghy

Cathleen Mary Draser Donaghy 57, passed away after a long struggle with Breast Cancer on January 9, 2016 in Atlanta, GA. She was born on February 28, 1958 in Queens, NY. In 1985 she married John Donaghy, separating in 2012. Together they raised their two children, Jessica and Jonathan. Cathie was a beautiful, funny, and caring woman. A Registered Nurse, she gave up her career and dedicated her life to raising and homeschooling her children. She had an infectious sense of humor, was a talented artist, and loved playing host, often inviting friends and family over for wonderful home cooked meals. She made friends with everyone she met and was always quick to reach out to people in need. Growing up in Ronkonkoma, NY, she was everyone’s friend-voted “Homecoming Queen”, “Most Popular”, and “Best Athlete” by her Connetquot HS classmates. Cathie is preceded by her father, Bart “Rudy” Draser, survived by daughter Jessica Donaghy Matheson, son Jonathan Donaghy, mother Mary Draser, sister Donna Carinci, brother Tom Draser, grandson Wylder Matheson, and uncle Vince Buscemi.
