Not having seen Carol for many years, I did not know she was gone. We were only 13 when we were best friends. Carol was a beautiful person inside and out. We lost touch when we both married, and she moved to Georgia. We arranged to meet once when my husband and children were going through Atlanta. That was the last time I saw her. It’s so sad to know she’s gone, way before she should have been. When we are young we don’t think of the fact we our our friends won’t always be around. I found tonight Carol left us 5 years ago, and all this time I have thought about her and pictured her as she was, never considering this. Tonight I thought of her again, decided to look for her online. I can’t begin to tell you how.much I regret not staying in touch. You think often of those good friends, but you don’t miss them until it’s too late to tell them how much you thought if them and cared about them. I’m sorry, Carol.
