Bruce Schlund, age 71 of Atlanta, passed away October 13, 2021 peacefully at his home with his loving wife of 38 years by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hamilton Jay and Jean Carol Schlund. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Schlund; brothers Wayne, Chris (Fran) and Jamey, his aunt Shirley Jones, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and life long friends.

Bruce was born July 29, 1950 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a graduate of Clarkston High School and Georgia State University.

He chose a career in the food industry and his travels took him to many exotic places. He was fortunate to make many amazing friendships with his clients who loved and respected him. He was currently employed with Meats By Linz out of Chicago, he truly admired and treasured the friendship and business relationship with Fred Linz.

Bruce was a fighter, he never gave up on anything, he had unwavering Strength and Courage.

He was a diehard Falcons fan. Despite many years of a losing record, he never wavered in his support of his team.

Bruce was curious, well read, loved to travel, had a witty and amazing sense of humor that always made those around him laugh and feel comfortable. He was genuine in his love for others and was loved dearly by many.

There will be a private celebration of life gathering at a later date.
