Bennett Allen Thomas Jr

Bennett A. Thomas, Jr., fondly known as Ben, age 87, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2024 in his Marietta, Georgia home surrounded and supported by his family.

Ben was born and raised in North Carolina where he grew up with the love of his life, Tina. They were childhood sweethearts and married for 66 years. A true love story. Ben graduated from the Business School at University of North Carolina. After serving in the United States Air Force, he began a long term financial career with Owens-Illinois Inc. Upon retirement, he entered the private sector as a successful business owner in Marietta, GA.

Ben was a devoted and loving husband, father and brother. He has touched the lives of so many individuals with his commitment to Christ and his caring desire to help others in need. He had a passion for teaching bible study classes and sharing the gospel with everyone he encountered. He was always “super good.”

Ben is survived by his loving wife, Tina; three children, David Thomas (Vickie), Diane Wray, and Mark Thomas (Janet). Six grandchildren, Richard Wray, Ashley Westcott, Megan Beckham, Michael Thomas, John Thomas and Taylor Thomas. He has eight great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for Ben will be held at Mt. Bethel Church, 4385 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30068 on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. The service will begin at 11:00 AM with a reception to follow.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
