Arlene Nemire Kersh

Arlene Nemire Kersh passed away peacefully in Atlanta, GA on December 31, 2022.

Arlene loved her time with her family and close friends. Before moving to Atlanta, Arlene was an active member of the Boca Ciega Point retirement community in St. Petersburg, FL where she sang in the chorus and enjoyed the company of her many dear friends. Following her retirement from Champion Spark Plug in Toledo, OH, Arlene refurbished a lakefront cottage in Brooklyn, MI with her husband before moving to Lake Hartwell, GA where she volunteered with the Hart County Public Library literacy program.

Arlene was born in Toledo, OH and graduated from DeVilbiss High School. She was the daughter of Henry Paul and Mildred Fern Spitnaile Finkenbiner. Arlene was predeceased by her husband of more than 40 years, Norman Ure Nemire, and her second husband, Guy Edward Kersh. Arlene is survived by her daughter Gail Hartman (Dan Kryszczuk) of Atlanta; three grandchildren Matt Hartman, Corey Hartman (Brendan Kretzschmar), and Kyle Hartman (Ann) all of Atlanta; her beloved great-grandsons Cole and Elliott Kretzschmar; and her sister Mary Ellen Guffey of Santa Barbara, CA.

Burial will take place in Toledo, OH in Summer 2023.
