Anne Kimball Webb, 59, of Stockbridge, Ga., died Monday, August 8, 2016 at her home.

A native of Philadelphia, Anne was born July 18, 1957 to Joanne and John LeVay. She moved to Richmond, Va. with her family, graduating from Douglas S. Freeman High School in Henrico County, Va. Anne attend several colleges, but spent years as a military spouse and mom before earning her degree and finding her calling as a teacher.

She finished her bachelor’s and master’s of education from the University of Maryland University College, Fleet Activities Sasebo, Japan. After student teaching, she influenced many young minds during a career with the Department of Defense Dependents Schools DoDDS in Sasebo, Japan; Azores, Portugal; and Naples, Italy.

Anne was undergoing treatment for stage four cancer at Winship Cancer Institute, Emory University Medical Center, at her time of death.

She is survived by two sons, Patrick Kane Kelly and John Webb; sister, Elizabeth LeVay Ashworth; one grandson, Isaac Kane;nieces Hannah, Grace and Ting Ashworth; devoted friends, Sharon and Andrea Dial; former spouses, Peter Kane Cathie and Tracy Webb; and other family and friends.

Services will be private. Donations in her memory may be directed to local animal charities or Alcoholics Anonymous chapters.
