Ann Patricia Cushing
Ann Patricia (Lawlor) Cushing (89) of Monroe, Ga passed away March 18, 2024. She was born June 12, 1934 to the late Martin and Catherine (Watts) Lawlor in Waterbury, Connecticut. She is survived by daughter Jean Sherrill (Don), grandchildren Bonnie Cushing, Nicholas Sherrill, Rachel Sherrill, brother in-law Alan Cushing (Diana) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Henry (Hank) F. Cushing, Jr., sons Stephen and David Cushing, and siblings Frank Lawlor, Joan (Cynthia) Wood, and Mary Sullivan.
Ann was raised in the Waterbury area and married Hank in 1957. As the wife of a military officer, she had an opportunity to travel both within the United States as well as internationally. Memorable locations included Germany, India and Thailand. After retirement from the military the family moved to Georgia where Ann worked as a pharmacy technician and assisted Hank in a successful tax business for over 40 years. Ann attended St. Anna’s Catholic Church in Monroe, GA and volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Society’s FISH Thrift Store. She was a huge cat and animal lover. Ann, Hank and son David will be interred at the National Veterans cemetery (Canton Ga). Arrangements pending.
Love you Aunt Anne. I will always remember coming to your house for visits and going right for your cookie drawer. You always had some form of cookie, usually Oreos. You will be missed terribly.
