Ann Lightmas

LIGHTMAS, Ann Grimm Lightmas of Sandy Springs, Georgia, died May 12, 2010 peacefully and with her family by her side of complications after a brief illness. She was nine days shy of her 98th birthday. A Funeral Mass will be held on May 17, 2010, in St. Mary’s Chapel at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 4465 Northside Drive, NW, Atlanta, GA 30327, at 2 p.m. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Ann had lived in the Atlanta area since 1980. The consummate bargain shopper, she loved Christmas shopping year-round and perusing the sale racks at Marshall’s. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends above all else. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank A. Lightmas, Sr., her parents, Anna and John Grimm, four sisters, one brother and her niece and goddaughter Valerie Lampe Strickler. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Terri Lightmas, of Atlanta, son John Lightmas of Port Orford, Oregon, granddaughters Maura Lightmas and her husband Josh Greifer of Portland, Oregon, Lauran Lightmas Nichols and her husband, Paul of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Lindsay Ann Lightmas of Atlanta, and two great-granddaughters, Sascha and Zoe Greifer. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Bob Lampe of Cincinnati, Ohio, and many nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in her honor to Altus Healthcare and Hospice, Inc., 5411 Northland Drive NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30342.
