Ann Kendrick Smith

Ann Kendrick Smith, born April 12, 1943 in Baxley, Georgia, was a lifelong resident of Atlanta, GA. She attended the Westminster School followed by Bennett College in Millbrook, NY, where she began her lifelong passion of painting through art studies.
After a successful career in sales and marketing, Ann returned to her love of painting. Ann’s paintings have been featured in art galleries throughout Georgia and North Carolina. After Ann and her husband, John, retired; they moved to the inspiring mountain surroundings of Rabun County, Georgia. There, they built their dream home, complete with a studio for Ann’s work. A true animal lover, Ann and John’s home became a foster home for their menagerie of pets.
Ann passed away January 26, 2011. Surviving are her loving husband, John, and their Pyrenees, Moose. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, February 12 at 1PM at St. James Episcopal Church in Clayton, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Atlanta Humane Society and Boggs Mountain Humane Shelter.
