Manfred, Kate and Jessie, I was stunned and heartbroken to hear yesterday of Julie’s passing. Even though I had not seen her in years, I thought of her so often. I can’t begin to tell you what an impact she had on my life, I would not be who I am today had it not been for Julie. She created an opportunity for me to work at Prodigy Child Dev. Center as an admin assistant/music teacher when my outside music contract for the centers was discontinued. Little did I know what a gift I had received. Julie quickly became more than a boss, she was a mentor, role model and friend. She not only lead a school of children, she was a compassionate leader of teachers/staff. She was never short on hugs and encouragement for anyone. I will never forget her support after my parents passed away, visiting St Simons, family dinners, visits to the barn. My boys attended Kids R Kids simply because of Julie and the supportive environment of caring teachers/staff that she fostered leading the school. How fortunate and blessed I was to have such an amazing person in my life, what an impact Julie made on my life, I am grateful.
