Alexander Giles Lawson

Alexander Giles ‘Alec’ Lawson, 46, died Tuesday March 17th 2015 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta after a long battle with Cancer. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday March 25, 2015 at 10:30am at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Columbus Ga. The visitation will be Tuesday March 24th, from 6:30-8:80 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church.

Alec was born on August 2nd 1968 in Pittsfield, MA to James and Beatrice Lawson. He graduated from Pacelli High School and the University of Georgia. He had been previously employed by TSYS in Columbus and Generation Financial Corporation in Atlanta.

Alec is survived by his parents, a son Alexander Katie of Ellijay, GA; two brothers, Gilbert Jennifer of Seattle Washington and Charles Kristen of Indiana PA; a grandson, Lennon Lawson; two nieces, Ursula and Gwendolyn Lawson; and a nephew, Charles Lawson; a former wife Kimberly Woodward Porteous of Orlando Fl.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Anne- Pacelli School or the American Cancer Society.
