Floyd Malone Hendrix, 73, of Griffin passed away Friday May 14, 2021.

Floyd was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the Air Force. He later retired from Encompass Group in McDonough. Floyd was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Floyd had a big heart and a genuine personality. He treated everyone the same no matter who they were and made a friend out of every stranger he met. He was most happy when he was surrounded by his family at gatherings where meals and great memories could be shared.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Windell and Viola Hendrix; brothers, Gene Hendrix and Robert Hendrix. He is survived by his wife, Janice Cox Hendrix; son, Shane Hendrix and his wife Mary John Hendrix; grandchildren, Ava Grace Hendrix and John Malone Hendrix; sister, Judy Chastain and her husband Bud Chastain; sister, Connie Huggins; nephew, Steve Cochran and niece, Sheffey Cochran; sister in law, Wendy Hubacher; brother in law, Ricky Cox and his wife Debra; brother in law, James Cochran; and several great nieces and nephews. He had a one of a kind relationship with great niece, Autumn Cox.

A memorial service to honor Floyd’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at The Lake Pavillion, 460 Aerodome Way, Griffin, GA 30224.

Family request in lieu flowers donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
