William Keith NeSmith

William Keith NeSmith, of Clayton, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017.
Keith was born January 1, 1951 in Albany, Georgia. He was the son of the late Frazier O’Neil NeSmith & Mary B. NeSmith.
Keith is survived by his wife, Kay NeSmith of 38 years; two wonderful daughters, Meredith Ledbetter Allen of Carrollton and Lauren Croom Matt of Carrollton; and one granddaughter, Charlotte Mae Ledbetter. Mr. NeSmith is also survived by his brother, Wayne NeSmith, niece Amy Dunn Tad and their son Andy, nephew David NeSmith Betsy, Cathie NeSmith, brother-in-law, Jack Vaughan Beth, niece Leslye Vaughan Ryan Christopher, and their son Ezra, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Keith loved his family, raising his daughters on Lake Burton, playing golf, and cooking bar-b-q for friends and family. He was a banker, home builder, small business owner, salesman, and a member of Clayton Baptist Church. He was a brother of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity at the University of West Georgia where he graduated in 1974.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Clayton Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday February 4, 2017 at Clayton Baptist Church sanctuary with visitation at 11:00 am followed by the service at noon.
Although I only met Keith one time at his mother’s funeral, I knew his father and mother well. Sorry for your loss and may God grant his loving care on your family during your time of grief and sorrow. Please email me when the memorial services will be. My Uncle Doyle, Aunt June, and I would like to attend these services.
