Thomas William Duncanson, 82, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, Tom lived a life marked by service, kindness, and devotion to family and faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Duncanson; his beloved wife, Carol Noell Duncanson; and his grandson, Darren Thomas Duncanson.

Affectionately known as “Grandfathers” by his grandchildren, Tom is survived by his daughter, Jody Glude, and her son, John-Hartley; Emily Simmons (Travis) and her daughter, Kristen; his son, William “Chuck” Charles Duncanson; his daughter, Kim Roberson, and her son, Cohen; his sister, Judith Rose (Duncanson) Gensler; and nephews Robert Richard Gensler, Jr. (Dianna), William Harold Gensler, and Joe (Jessica) Nardi.

Tom studied to become a master electrician and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era, defending the freedoms he held dear. He built a successful career as a salesman and sales manager with Burroughs Corp. and Sensormatic, earning respect for his integrity and leadership. In retirement, he found joy in attending church, engaging with his community, and cherishing time with family and friends.

He will be remembered as a kind, witty, and devoted Christian—a man who advocated for others and brought light to those around him. His love for reading the Bible and his unwavering faith were central to his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 9, 2025, at 2:00pm
The Episcopal Church of St. Peter & St. Paul

1795 Johnson Ferry Rd, Marietta, GA 30062
Interment and reception will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom’s memory to the Memorial Gardens at the church, payable to St. Peter and St. Paul Church in Marietta, GA.
