Ray Franklin

Ray Franklin, lovingly known as “Big Ray,” age 58, of Atlanta, GA, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 18, 2025. He was born on October 28, 1966, to the late Raymond Franklin and Annie Lois Theney.

Ray attended East Atlanta High School and went on to build a lifelong career working as an auto detailer, floor technician, and warehouse associate for more than 40 years. He was known for his hard work, dedication, and the friendships he made along the way.

He is survived by his two children, Raven and Elijah of Bismarck, ND; two sisters, Erika and Gwen of Atlanta, GA; two half-brothers, Ray and Rodney of Atlanta, GA; as well as nieces, cousins, and many friends who will cherish his memory.

A remembrance service will be announced at a later date. The family requests that donations be made in his honor to the American Heart Association.
