Eugene Young

IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eugene “Meatfeet” Young
Eugene Young, 78, passed away on May 3, 2025. He was born on November 16, 1946, in
Newnan, Georgia, to the late Marvin Young Sr. and Idella Bridges Young.
He graduated from Charles L. Harper High School in Atlanta. Eugene enlisted in the U.S. Army
in July 1968 and served for three years, including a year and a half in Germany. He completed
his service with the rank of Specialist Four (SP4).
After his military service, Eugene worked for Bronner Brothers and several other small
businesses. He also drove limousines, a job he enjoyed.
Eugene joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church at an early age and remained a member until his
passing.
He is survived by his brothers Henry C. Young of Dayton, Ohio, Frank H. (Audrey) Young, and
Timothy Young of Atlanta. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Jennie Young, along with a
host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers- Frontz Sr. (Marguerite), Willie
(Margaret), Leroy (Vada), John, and Marvin Jr. “Bud”, and his sister Marian Young Wilson.
Eugene had a wonderful sense of humor, a kind heart, and a spirit that lit up every room. He will
be deeply missed and forever remembered.
