William Keith Creekbaum peacefully passed away on December 31, 2020 in Gainesville, Georgia. He was 86 years old. Bill was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and graduated from Hamilton High School of Ohio. He enlisted in the United States Army as a radio operator-teletype in 1956 and was honorably discharged 3 years later with a highly decorated rank of SP5- Sergeant. Bill graduated in 1960 from Detroit Institute of Technology in Mechanical Engineering and pursued a long career in Heating and Air Conditioning. Bill worked many years at Lenox, Dunham Bush, Airon and Mengledorff’s. Never one to sit still, Bill’s retirement career served as a Service & Distribution Clerk in the Cummings, GA Post Office. Never passing a leadership role, Bill was the Union Stewart at his post office. Always the collaborator, Bill was extremely proud of the Conflict Management & Mediation Skills degree he received from the Justice Center of Atlanta. Bill loved his four Maltese dogs, Big Dog, Doodle, Laney and Bibiana as much as his boat on Lake Lanier. Bill was always known as a kind, loyal, ethical and hard working person. He is predeceased by his two beloved brothers, Victor (Sylvia) Creekbaum and Ronald Creekbaum as well as his parents Allen and Gertrude Creekbaum. Bill is survived by his wife of 20 years, Debi, his two children, Sheryl (Kevin) Meade and Billy (Laurie) Creekbaum. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Donna Creekbaum and his beloved granddaughters Sarah (Taylor) Long, Rachael Webb and Delaney Creekbaum. Eleven months ago, Bill was blessed with his first and only old great-grandson, Callan Long. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on behalf of Bill to the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia at humanesocietyofnortheastgeorgia.org. Bill lived a rich life and will be dearly missed by many.
