Rose Bayles

Rose Friedman Bayles, wife of the late Lester Wallace Bayles died peacefully in her home in Marietta, Georgia. She is survived by her three children Harry Bayles of Marietta, GA, Mark Bayles of Carrboro, NC, and Sara Bayles of Manville, NJ. She has 4 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Rose was born in Vernon, Connecticut in 1922. She served honorably in the Navy WAVES during World War II working in hospitals in Texas and Idaho. She spent much of her life in Transylvania County, NC where she raised her children and supervised the family farm. Later she moved to Alaska which became her adopted state. Her final wish was to be cremated and her ashes spread on Mount Denali in Alaska.
