Ludmila Ann Carlson went to be with Our Lord and Savior on January 21, 2022, at the age of 86 and resided in Duluth, GA.

Ludmila was born on December 14, 1935, to John & Anna Delly in Chicago, IL. After Ludmila graduated from Austin High School, Chicago, IL in 1954, she married her high school sweetheart, Loren Carlson, just before he left for active duty in Korea. Ludmila and Loren lived in Chicago, California, Florida, and Georgia prior to his passing in 2006.

Ludmila retired in 2005 to do what she loved most in life, spend time with her family. While retired, Ludmila was the ultimate Mom, Grandma, Farmor and Great-Grandmother. She was very adept at technology and loved staying in constant contact with her grandkids via text. She would travel to see them and once she could no longer travel, texting, sharing pictures, and FaceTime became even more important.

Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Her smile was infectious, and her kindness and grace was evident to everyone who ever met her. She had a long, very blessed, and abundant life. She is without a doubt so proud of her kids, grandkids & great-grandkids and I’m sure she looks at all of us and thinks she has accomplished exactly what she was put here to do, and the Lord is looking at her and saying well done my good and faithful servant.

Ludmila was preceded in death by her parents and grand-daughter, Michelle McIntyre. Ludmila leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Chrissy McIntyre of Duluth, GA; Dr. Curtis (Tracey) Cornella-Carlson of Hartland, WI; David (Dawn) Carlson of Cumming, GA; Grandchildren, Drew (Danielle) McIntyre, Josh (Winnie) Carlson, Courtney (Alex) Pflughoeft, Ashley (Malorie) Carlson, Kirsten (Andrew) Schneider, Chandler Carlson, Kaitlyn Cornella-Carlson, Christian Cornella-Carlson; Great-grandchildren, Rachel McIntyre, Kullen Pflughoeft, Daniel McIntyre, Lochlan Pflughoeft; Long-time friend, Arlene Ward. She is further survived by her brother, John Delly of Chicago, IL, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Ludmila requested a simple service with family and close friends that will be held at a later date.

  1. A Addison says:

Will miss you so much, sweet lady.

  2. Cheryl Johnson says:

Chrissy and all Ludmila’s family, I am sorry to hear of your loss. “Butch” was such a friendly and lovely person. I worked with her for many years at Strickland and I don’t think I ever saw her without a smile on her face. She was a very welcoming person. Although she will be missed she is in a better place. I hope you all find peace in your hearts.
