Kevin James McClellan

Kevin James McClellan was born in Pontiac, Michigan to the late James Edward McClellan & Janice McClellan. His close childhood friends knew him as ‘Slay’. He was known for his free spirit, love of music, sports, and his family.

Kevin passed away March 17, 2019

Kevin moved to Atlanta, GA in 2006 where he met Tolelia Starks. They married on November 14, 2009. To their union, two children were born, Kalela Jalynn McClellan and King James McClellan.

Kevin worked at UPS for 13 years. He was known for never meeting a stranger and building close friendships everywhere he went. His UPS friends also became family. They raised their kids together, celebrated milestones, and traveled together. He will be remembered for his love of the New England Patriots, soulful music, and T-shirt slogans.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father James E. McClellan and his brother Andrew McClellan.

Kevin leaves to cherish his memory his mother Janice McClellan, two children Kalela and King, his ex-wife Tolelia Starks, his sisters Rhonda (Freeman) Jones, Sonya (Alvin) McClellan, Alicia McClellan, his

brothers Brian (TaMeka) McClellan, Bruce McClellan, James McClellan Jr., Damone (LaTonya) McClellan, and Dustin (Collett) McClellan, nephews

Antonio and Antoine, nieces Sasha and Saige, special friend Antoinette Evins, special childhood friend Crystal ’Pooh’ Fitzpatrick, and a host of extended family and friends.
