  2. Mary Donahue says:

I knew Kathy from Twitter. We bonded over our love of cats and our friend Zee the cat. She always found a way to make us smile and laugh. She had such a kind heart with a respect for people and animals that isn’t found often now. I’m sincerely sorry for your loss. She is missed.

  3. Saye Bennett says:

I knew Kathryn from Twitter also. Her love of animals and kindness were evident to anyone who had the pleasure of interacting with her. I got to know her through our mutual interest for & love of a cat named Zee. Her kindness and positive energy are missed greatly.

  4. Mary Chandler Koss says:

I was one of Kathy’s sisters. We grew up in Minnesota but moved to the south after college. I went to the U of F for a post bac. degree in health sciences. Kathy went to Georgia to serve in the army to pay off her college degree in music. She was in the army band at Fort McPherson. She also worked in the music library. She met her husband when he called from the music library in Michigan. He was in the navy and played the tuba and Kathy played the French horn. We both played in band in school. She was always first chair and had perfect pitch. She also had an IQ over 200. She used to read the Wall street journal in second grade. Kathy was shy and didn’t like to meet strangers. She loved cats and music. She used to volunteer to teach classes on CPR. We visited her a few times when we were driving between between Gainesville and Minnesota. She let us stay over night. My husband had music appreciation and could talk to her about that. He also has a high IQ so they had something in common. Kathy chose not to have anything to do with her family. She loved his family through. She thought we were not interesting enough. I have a son that is autistic and he has similar traits that Kathy had. So I understand why she did things the way she did. I wished we could had done more together, maybe someday on the other side.
