Julie Lane Kelly
Julie Lane Kelly passed away peacefully at home in Atlanta on June 30th after an eight year battle with early onset Alzheimer’s Disease. She was lovely and gracious up until her last breath, always offering a big, beautiful, beaming smile to all who visited despite her illness. She lit up the room with her presence and was an inspiration to her family, friends and even those she encountered briefly or knew only for a short time. She raised three daughters with her husband and sweetheart of forty years and was known to her family for her tough love and enigmatic personality. She forged an unbreakable bond amongst her daughters and husband, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. Julie was a woman of devout faith and we know she is welcomed into heaven by an army of angels. She is preceded in death by her parents Martha and Thomas Lane and is survived by her three daughters and husband, Brighton Kelly Coleman, Chloe Lane Kelly O’Connor, Peyton Rose Kelly, James Lennon Kelly Junior and two older brothers Anthony Randolph Lane and Edgar Hill Lane.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday July 10th at 11:00 AM at Northside United Methodist Church in Atlanta, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Goizueta Alzheimer’s Disease and Research Center.

I can to know Julie in 1985, when she entrusted me her little Brighton. My husband and my self always thanks God for Julie and her family, because she was a blessing in our lives.

A pure heart through and through…. I never saw Julie upset or sad. She was an example and represented JOY!! She always wore a smile.. she was gracious and loved everyone she met! I have only seen her once in almost 50 years. However, she left an impression and embraceable memory that lasts a lifetime! God Bless Julie! A spirit that will live forever in those who were touched by her smile and love of life!
Jim I’m so sorry for the difficult years you and your lovely family have endured but I know you will take refuge in the wonderful memories you have of Julie’s abundantly sweet and pure good spirit. Keeping you in thoughts and prayers.
Julie was a rare individual who through her smile and her caring spirit made this world a much better place. Heaven is now brighter with her presence. May she Rest In Peace.

Jim and family. I just learned of Julie’s passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember the great memories we had on Lakeview.
I am just learning of Julie’s passing today, although I have sought information off and on for several years. I wanted to thank Julie for offering her bright smile and friendship when I was a “new kid” at school — we only lived in Atlanta for 3 years 1963-66) but I have never forgotten her graciousness to me.
