H Fleming “Andy” Andrews passed away on June 8, 2021 at the age of 83 from lingering complications caused by Covid- 19.

Andy married his childhood sweetheart, Patricia Barnett, in 1957. Pat preceded him in death from Covid-19 earlier this year. Andy is survived by his son, Jeff, and his wife Christine; his son, Kevin, his wife, Deborah, and their children, Yei Bin and Trey; his son, Eric, and his wife, Jerolyn; and his daughter, Holly.

Andy had a BS in Business Administration from Mississippi State University. He worked as an insurance adjuster after college and later worked as a sales representative selling various products and services to the furniture industry. In the 1980s, he became a self-employed Manufacturer’s Rep and built a successful business.

Andy was much loved by those in his family, community, and church, as well as by former coworkers and band mates. He was a sweet, kind and supportive husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, his grandchildren, travel, reading, theater, and movies. Andy was a musician and lover of Jazz music and played saxophone through college and well into his 70s in community orchestras. He will be greatly missed by many. Andy always greeted everyone with a genuine smile. His love and kindness will be with us forever.

Andy chose to be cremated and a small graveside service will take place at Decatur Cemetery on Saturday June 26 at 10:30am.
