Gregg borrowed my bicycle for a triathalon while he was still in Knoxville. Afterwards, he told me that he had two flat tires during the race – so what I thought was going to help him compete ended up being an impediment. He was greatful for the thought.
I had the pleasure of introducing Gregg to the sport of water polo while at UT, and the good fortune to cross paths many times throughout the years at tournaments. He was a very witty and intelligent man, and I will certainly miss hearing his perspective on things. I hope that he finds peace, and I pass along my sincere condolences to his family.
