I am so very sorry to hear of Gregg’s passing! While I didn’t know him well, I saw him at our events. He was a gentle soul, always personable and sometimes quiet. My heart goes out to his family, loved ones and friends. I will keep him and his family/friends in my prayers.

My hearth is broken at the sad news: we met in Knoxville and worked together in Italy for almost 3 years. He was enjoying life in Milan and he finally even learned italian…He was a smart engineer, dedicated employee and a good boy. I will miss you Gregg!

Please know we all recall so many great moments with Gregg. He was a fantastic swimmer for the Hokies and his famous “Blue Car” cheer set the tone for our swim meets. Gregg borrowed my bicycle for a triathalon while he was still in Knoxville. Afterwards, he told me that he had two flat tires during the race – so what I thought was going to help him compete ended up being an impediment. He was greatful for the thought.
I had the pleasure of introducing Gregg to the sport of water polo while at UT, and the good fortune to cross paths many times throughout the years at tournaments. He was a very witty and intelligent man, and I will certainly miss hearing his perspective on things. I hope that he finds peace, and I pass along my sincere condolences to his family.
I only knew Gregg from High School. but have very clear memories of many classes together. Gregg was such a nice guy… I always remember him smiling and quick with a joke or comment. In a world of average and blah, he was def a ‘great guy.’ Such a loss. My condolences to his family & friends. -Sean
