Christine Mary Beattie of Akron, Ohio died Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home in Atlanta, GA. Chris was a graduate of St. Vincent St. Mary & the University of Akron. She enjoyed her career in social work, touching many handicapped people’s lives while at Goodwill and MRDD. Chris was preceded in death by her parents Helen and Thomas H. and brother Thomas. She is survived by siblings Sr. Judith Anne CSC, Patricia husband Michael, Kevin wife Jennifer, Claudia husband Thomas, Timothy wife Margaret, 16 nieces & nephews, 7 great nieces & nephews.     I worked at Goodwill first as a volunteer, then a regular employee, then as the receptionist. I got to know Chris. I am sorry to hear of her passing. She was always firm but fair when it came to her clients at Goodwill. Rest in Peace, Chris. May the love of Jesus surround her family at this difficult time.

    I am so saddened to here of Chris’ passing. We were friends when we lived in Ohio and worked at Goodwill. We had lost touch except through Christmas cards and the occasional phone call over the years. Every time we spoke it was like we had just talked yesterday. I will miss her.
