Carol Louis Williams

Carol Louise Purdom Williams, age 71 of Atlanta, GA, died March 20, 2011. She was born in the Forkland Community in Boyle County Kentucky in 1939 and was the only daughter of Garland and Hattie Rachael Helm Purdom. She graduated from Forkland High School and attended Centre College located in Danville Kentucky. She married Thomas M. Williams Jr. and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2009. They have one Son Thomas M. Williams III Currently President of Thomas M. Williams & Assoc. Inc.. She lived in Lexington, KY, until she moved to Atlanta in 1978. She held numerous management positions with firms in KY, NJ and GA. She was Medical Secretary for hospitals in Danville, KY, Toms River, NJ, and Fort Smith AR, Office Manager for Steel Case Office Furniture Manufacturing Company, Marketing Manager for SEATS South East Area Ticket Sales
Manager of Victor Temporary Agency in Atlanta and VP of Finance for Thomas M. Williams & Associates. Inc. until her retirement in 2006. She was an avid collector of Modern Art and donated Art to Atlanta Museum of Art, Atlanta Botanical Garden and the University of Kentucky. She volunteered at Piedmont Hospital, Atlanta Museum of Art and Atlanta Botanical Gardens. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution in her memory to your favorite charity.
