    • Jeffrey Nelson says:

My dear aunt, gone too soon. You were the strongest woman I’ve even known. There was nothing you couldn’t do. In your professional life, you broke barriers for other woman to follow, showed what work ethic really means, and didn’t take crap from anyone. You were there for me during illness, and helped with my mother, driving 80 miles to Atlanta to take her to the doctor. You are missed now. See you one day, in a better world, much love aunt Beverly.

  2. Ebbie Joned says:

I also had a great opportunity to work with Beverly. She was a wonderful human being. Her tough demeanor betrayed the fact that she had a heart of gold and would help anybody. I also Appreciated everything she did for me and what a warm reception she gave me when I first moved to Savannah. Rest in peace, Beverly.

  7. Dorothy Griswold says:

God put people in our lives for a reason, most of us never recognize that reason. Beverly Nelson was put in my life to help me to advance with BB&T. Also to help make life easier for me as I battled cancer 10 years ago. Beverly was an amazing lady that was respected by many. She took care of a lot of people with her strong/tough but loving and caring heart. Beverly was always there for good times and bad times, personally and professionally. I thank God for allowing me to meet and be part of her life. Last lesson learned, when God places someone on your heart make sure to reach out to that person. Cancer sucks. RIP Beverly Nelson 🥰💔

  8. Nancy R. says:

Beverly deserves more than a blip obituary. Her life was full of events, accomplishments, and occasions. She was a dedicated person with many friends and people who loved her.

She had many talents aside from her career. A wonderful cook, a seamstress who could sew anything from doll clothes to formal gowns, mens shirts to mens suits. She had impeccable taste and style. She could tile a floor, paint a house, and loved gardening. She deserves a proper obituary of her life.

    She will be missed.

  9. Kay Barfield says:

I had the pleasure of working with Beverly for several years and learned so much from her. Her support of me helped me advance in my career at BBT. We became travel buddies as we traveled back and forth to North Carolina. She had a tough demeanor but underneath she was a thoughtful, caring person. She was always just a phone call away with great advice or a listening ear. She was so talented in so many ways whether talking through a rough situation to home improvements to gardening to fly fishing. She was an amazing person and friend who will be missed by many. My thoughts are with her family. Rest In Peace dear Beverly.

  10. Kristopher Harper says:

It is hard to believe you are gone, but not forgotten. You have always been respectful, helpful, and professional in your career and personal life. Not only did you have a solid career in banking, but you were able to help others, like my mom, grow in their profession. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

  11. Betty James says:

Beverly, strong in character, open to assisting others, an advisor as well as a leader. I had the opporunity to work as her administrative assistance twice and each time l came away a more knowlegeable person. Beverly hired me as a temp employee and encouraged and guided me the entire 12 years l was with BB&T. I respected her and admired her. She will be missed. Loved how she would throw back her head when she laughed. Praying for healing for the loss for her family. Rest Beverly!
