Peachtree City — Barbara “Bobbye” Bridges, a long-time resident of Fulton County, died
Monday the 11th of November at Brightmoor Hospice. She was preceded in death by her
mother Georgia and Young Holland; sister, Bea Pope; brother Patrick; husband Bob Bridges and
first husband Carlton Yancey. She is survived by her son and daughter, Leonard Yancey of
Stockbridge and LuAnne Eidson of Tyrone; grandsons Luke Eidson of Marietta and Matt Eidson
and his wife Jen of Columbia, MD; sister, Linda Selfridge of Crossville, TN; and great grandsons
Jacob and Sam Eidson. Funeral services will be held December 7th at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of
Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Friends of Hannah Rescue, 1043 West Creston Road,
Crossville, TN 38571.

    Bobbie was “can do” and “get her done” before that was funny—she was the epitome of a southern woman. She loved clothes and shopping and the enjoyment that she got from the quest to find just the right accessories always fascinated me.
    She was DEVOTED to her family and her love of all of us was felt through and through.
    She LOVED to laugh and I cherish those happy memories.
    I will ALWAYS remember her and my mom (her younger sister, Linda) RACED each other to the ticket booth of the movie theater—racing to see who would buy the tickets for all of us.
