Aric C. Gerdes

aric gerdes

Aric C. Gerdes, age 58, passed to God on October 4, 2021 following a sudden cardiac arrest. Aric was born December 14, 1962 in Houston, Texas.

He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Ann Gerdes; four children: Marisa Gerdes, Shelby Naidoo and husband Kemeshin, Madison Gerdes and Shay Gerdes; brother, Matthew Gerdes and two grandchildren: Everleigh Hardy and Sterling Naidoo.
We have lost a son, a father, and a brother, but God is gaining a soul and Aric is given an eternity in Heaven. Aric is not gone forever as we will all join him there one day.

Aric loved the outdoors, especially the time he spent fishing. He used to have a red canoe that he and his children spent many hours together in exploring and fishing out on the lake. He loved going to The Home Depot and was always working on a home project. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He attended Greater Atlanta Christian School and Kennesaw State University.
The family will have an informal, family only remembrance at a later time. Burial will take place in Texas.

The family wishes to thank each person who ever showed kindness to Aric. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

  21. Chris craun says:

This morning, I just discovered this devastating news. My heart aches.

Aric and I spent many a day as teenagers fishing, paddling that red canoe, playing guitar, and riding around in his Pontiac Lemans. To let you know he caught more fish than me, played guitar better than me, and was a better driver.

We went to school and church together. He was a good friend and a good man.

We spoke on the phone a number of years ago and it was like old times.

These memories I will cherish forever.

May God grant the entire family and multitude of friends peace and comfort.
