William Bill Jerald Owen

William Jerald Bill Owen of McDonough, Georgia died at age 70 on Sunday, June 6, 2010. Bill was born May 20, 1940, in the clinic in Jackson, Georgia. Bill graduated from Henry County High School in the class of 1958. He served in the United States Army and the National Guard and later retired from the State of Georgia, Department of Transportation. He is survived by his only child, Genie Owen Richardson Barber and her four children, his grandchildren; Jordan Richardson, William Richardson, Gracie Barber and Jeremy Barber. Bill’s request was to be cremated and then a memorial service with his friends and family. His remains will be later be laid to rest in the McDonough City Cemetery beside his wife and his parents. The memorial service will be held at 2pm, Saturday, June 19th at Liberty Hill Baptist Church on Mt. Carmel Road in Hampton, Georgia. Family will be at the church at 1pm to receive friends before the service.
