Vickie Lynn Bouchillon

Vickie Lynn Bouchillon of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 18th, 2026 at the age of 73 with family at her side. She was born on July 2nd, 1952, the daughter of Jimmy and Joyce Ferguson in East Point, Georgia. After graduating from Briarwood Highschool, she attended Grady Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1973. She later graduated from Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Anesthesia as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in 1977. During her nursing career she cared for thousands of patients, administering anesthesia and ensuring safe outcomes.

She was the oldest of seven children of Jimmy and Joyce. She spent her early years bonding with her family, a strong bond that lasted her lifetime. She took deep pride in caring for her children, siblings, and nieces and nephews.

In 1974, she married her high school sweetheart, George Hedrick, IV and they had one child, Ashley Lynn Hedrick. They later divorced. Being on the forefront of custody changes, Vickie ensured that Ashley would be raised with both parents, ensuring loving households. She married Samuel Keith Bouchillon in 1990 and they welcomed her second born, Samuel Edward Bouchillon into the blended family. They shared 11 years together before Keith’s unexpected passing in 2001.

Vickie will be remembered for the deep compassion and empathy she gave everyone who walked into her life, especially her beloved family. She always lent a helping hand whenever needed, carrying the burdens for those she loved.

Vickie is preceded in death by her husband Keith Bouchillon, her father and mother, brothers Jim and George Ferguson, and sister Becky Ferguson. She is survived by her daughter Ashley Browning (Shannon) and their children Violet and Savannah of Livingston, Montana, and son Samuel Edward Bouchillon of Woodstock, Georgia. She is also survived by her loving sisters Terry (Dan) Martin, Carolyn Davis, Susan Brandon, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be planned at a later date.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” – Revelation 21:4
