Roy Arthur Gariepy

Roy Arthur Gariepy, 65, of Bloomingdale, GA, also a long-term resident of Bonneau Beach, SC, peacefully joined his predeceased wife, Nancy Gariepy, on Thursday, July 9, 2026.

Giving thanks to the Cremation Society of Georgia, our family and friends will hold separate private memorial services to celebrate the life of our incredible, loving Dad, uncle, and brother.

Roy was born in Plattsburgh, NY, on February 23, 1961, son of the late James A. Gariepy and Lenora J. Alexander Gariepy.

Our Dad lived a free-spirited life, dancing, singing, playing an air guitar, and hanging out with family and friends by bonfires. He found peace on the lake fishing or in the woods hunting. He was the dad of all dads that loved and cared for all our friends. He found the utmost joy of being with his 6 children, 13 grandchildren, 2 great grands, and his fur baby, Scrat (Bubba Louie). An all-around hardworking man that had the answer for any question asked. He was very crafty and always tinkering with something. His love was deep, his humor was endless, and he wholeheartedly gave so much of himself to anyone that crossed his path. He is loved beyond measures and will be missed dearly.

Surviving our beloved Dad are his four sisters, Lea Gariepy of AR, Beverly Brazell of SC, Jessica Yelton, and Sarah Oleksik of NY; his brother, Jeremy Gariepy of FL; and his six children, Tonya Mann (James Mann), Nicole Gariepy of GA, Marcus Gariepy (Caroline Gariepy), Tiffany Carter (Wyatt Carter), Jessica Rawlins (Anthony) of SC, and Leah Cross (Michael Cross) of VA. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and his fur baby, Scrat.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Allen Gariepy; his sister-in-law, Marjorie Gariepy; his brother-in-law, Ted Brazell; and his beloved wife and best friend, Nancy Gariepy.
