It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Powell, who left us peacefully, surrounded by the warmth of his family. A cherished husband, a devoted father, and a steadfast friend, Bob’s presence was a comforting anchor to all who knew him.
Bob lived his life with a rare blend of quiet strength, boundless generosity, and a sharp, infectious sense of humor that could brighten the darkest of rooms. Bob’s infectious enthusiasm propelled him through 42 years with the Coca-Cola Company rising through the ranks from bottler to corporate and ultimately back to the bottling system. He was also a man who found immense joy in life’s simple pleasures—whether it was a quiet morning with a cup of coffee, tinkering in his garage, mowing the lawn or sharing a hearty laugh with old friends.
A Legacy of Love and Kindness
To know Bob was to know what it meant to be truly supported. He was the kind of man who showed his love through actions: showing up early to help a neighbor, offering a listening ear without judgment, and fiercely protecting and providing for his family. His wisdom was earned through a life well-lived, and his advice was always given with gentleness and humility.
His greatest pride and joy was his family. The love he poured into his wife, Georgia, and his daughters, Katie and Kristin will remain his lasting legacy. He taught us how to laugh at ourselves, how to stand tall in the face of adversity, and, above all, how to love one another unconditionally.
"The true measure of a man is not the wealth he accumulates, but the lives he touches."
By this metric, Bob was rich beyond measure. His love lives on with those he touched. His kindness left an indelible mark on his community, and his spirit will continue to live on in the countless stories, jokes, and memories he leaves behind.
Gathering to Remember
We invite all who knew and loved Bob to join us as we celebrate his remarkable life and say our earthly goodbyes.
