Robert 'Bob' Casey

May 27, 1949 — January 10, 2014

Bob was a long time resident of Georgia but grew up in the Miami area. There he met several friends who would continue to be his friends for the remainder of his life. The people he met in his military career and afterwards in the American Legion, as well as those in the Jaycees and his professional life, have meant so much to him. Many people knew Bob as he sold and managed real estate since 1973. He started his own company, Casey and Associates Realty, and brokered his full-service office in Chamblee.

Having always been the kind of guy to give the shirt off of his back, he will be sorrowfully missed.

He served in the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army. Besides jumping out of planes and repairing helicopters , he learned much about life and how to fix things through his military experience. He leaves his wife, Barbara, and his two children, Robin and Jack. Bob also has two brothers, John and David Casey, who live in Gwinnett County.

Bob was active with the American Legion Post 251 in Duluth, and was a rider in the American Legion Riders, motorcyclists who are a service portion of the American Legion and serve as the Honor Guard for memorial events.

“The memorial ceremony for Sunday, January 20th, 2014. has been postponed. Please check back for new scheduling information.”

In lieu of flowers, it was Bob’s wish that funds be made out to the following charity: Duluth High School Scholarship Fund – Robert L. Casey. Mailing address is 3737 Brock Road NW, Duluth, GA 30096, and it is tax deductible.
