Nancy Early Kirk

Nancy M. (Early) Kirk, of St. George Village in Roswell, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2017. Nancy was born on June 14, 1932, in Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from Boston Teacher’s College and was assigned as a Department of Defense School Teacher at Yokota Air Base, Japan. Nancy met the love of her life, William (Bill) L. Kirk, in 1955 at Yokota. They were married on April 1, 1956. Together they raised a family, traveled the world, established lifelong friends, and were passionate about serving their country. She loved the beach, so, after Bill’s 38 years in the Air Force, they retired to Niceville, Florida. Both were devoted to serving the Eglin Air Force Base Community, Okaloosa County military support organizations, and Christ Our Redeemer Catholic Church. For 20 years, they worked tirelessly for the Eglin Chapter Air Force Association Golf Tournament and gifted over 200 ROTC high school students’ with college scholarships and financial awards for academic achievement. Nancy (Nana) loved her family, walking on the beach, and spending time with friends. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Karen Bennett (Phil) of Marietta, GA; son, Stephen of Baton Rouge, LA; and son Kenneth (Roberta) of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren Jason, Kevin, and Sarah; and predeceased by husband, William, and son, William Jr. (Les). A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, December 8, 2017, at 10:30AM at St Peter Chanel Catholic Church,11330 Woodstock Road, Roswell, GA 30075. A reception will follow in the Activity Room at St. George Village (11350 Woodstock Road) at 11:45AM.
