Mrs. Nancy M. Burnett
(1934 – 2025)

Nancy Mayfield Burnett, 90, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away at Northside Hospital
Cherokee in Canton, Georgia on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 following a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in December, 2009; parents Marianna and
Dell Mayfield, one sister Allison Nichols (Robert); and two brothers, Richard Mayfield (Patricia)
and Robert Mayfield.
Survivors include one daughter, Evelyn Rosser (Jimmy) of Acworth, Georgia; two grandsons,
Owen Jones (Rebekah) of Acworth, Georgia and Blake Jones (Christina) of Atlanta, Georgia; two
great grandchildren, Adelaide Jones and Abram Jones of Acworth, Georgia; her twin sister,
Elizabeth Ewing of Signal Mountain, Tennessee and various nieces, nephews, step-children and
step-grandchildren.
Per Mrs. Burnett’s wishes, she was cremated with services to be arranged at a later date. Mrs.
Burnett will be forever loved and missed. The meaningful relationships she had with her
immediate family, extended family and a large network of friends were very precious, second
only to her love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Glisson in Dahlonega, Georgia to support
Ms. Burnett’s love of establishing strong Christian values in our youth. Camp Glisson holds a
special place in her heart as demonstrated by attendance of four generations of her family,
beginning with Mrs. Burnett.
