Michael Patrick Clark

Michael Patrick Clark, 59, of Atlanta, passed away on May 3, 2014.
Michael was born June 9, 1954, in La Rochelle, France, to the late Joe and Edith Clark and was raised in Morganton, N.C.
He was an active member of First Metropolitan Community Church of Atlanta and an avid boater.
Michael leaves behind his beloved husband, Derrick Stanley and is survived by three children, Amy Clarke Burns Michael of Greenville, S.C., Nathan Clark Maggie of Rock Hill, S.C., and Jameson Clark Stacy of Duncan, S.C., and six grandchildren, Darby Burns, Matthew Burns, Gage Mealor, Riley Clark, Morgan Clark and Brantley Clark.
He was predeceased by a brother, D. Joe Clark of Gainesville, Ga.
Michael spent many years as an executive with APICS in Alexandria, Va., and was known around the country as a compelling motivational speaker.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be submitted to First MCC of Atlanta www.firstmcc.com.
Services will be held beginning at 3 p.m. Tuesday at First MCC of Atlanta, 1379 Tullie Road NE, Atlanta.
