Michael Mobley Bankston

Michael M. Bankston, 71, of Bluffton, S.C., died Nov. 10, 2018. He was born on February 18, 1947 in Atlanta, GA to Ted and Jackie (nee Mobley) Bankston.

Mike was a teacher and coach for both football and wrestling for over 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Bankston; three sons, Jason and spouse Rastina of Kenova, W. VA; Adam of Williamson, W. VA; and Matt and his wife Nora, of Atlanta, GA; his brothers David, of Atlanta, GA and Kim, of Nashville, TN.

He is proceeded in death by his parents and his brothers, Rick and Craig.

Mike will be honored during the week of Marshall University’s 2019 Homecoming in Huntington, W. VA.
