Mellie Mollie Morgan

Mellie M. Morgan, beloved mother of Glenn Morgan and wife Patty of Ukiah, Ca., Beth Gorham of Danville Ky., and Dolores Poselenzny and husband Tony of Sandy Springs, Ga., passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Hospice Atlanta in Atlanta, Ga. on Saturday, January 2nd, 2010.
Mellie was born in Del Rapids, South Dakota, on February 21 st, 1919. She was the youngest of three children and the only daughter of Carl and Anna Muckier. Her brothers, Don and Paul, predeceased her.
She married T. Harry Morgan in Wilkes Barre, Pa. in 1945and soon relocated to East Hartford, Ct where she lived for 50 years. Her husband predeceased her in 1996. She was very active in her church and did lots of volunteering along with raising her family. She loved to knit and do anything with her hands. Her children and grandchildren loved her cookies, as she was a wonderful baker.
Her beloved grandchildren she leaves behind are as follows; Heather Lawrence of Stanford, Ky., Amy Smith of Stanford, Ky., Justin Poselenzny of Portland, Or., Zachary Poselenzny of Naperville, IL, and Victoria Nair and husband Shane of Champaign, IL .. She also leaves six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. We will all miss her very much but we have many beautiful memories.
