Martin Anthony Cole

Sadly, we share the sudden passing of Martin Anthony Cole, affectionately known as “Marty” on Saturday, the 20th of November 2021 of natural causes.

Martin was born Christmas day in 1965, in Atlanta, Georgia and was a lifelong area resident. He attended Druid Hills High School, Georgia Tech and was a graduate of Georgia State University. He worked for over 20 years at AT&T in various Human Resources roles. He also held Board seats at Murphey Candler Little League, the Urban League of Greater Atlanta and Horizon Theatre. But perhaps his most cherished role was as soccer, baseball, basketball and football coach to many Dunwoody, Georgia area children including his own son, Luke Cole, and stepdaughter, Lauren King.

He is survived by his son Luke Cole and many beloved friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Cole.

Services will be held at 2p.m., Sunday December 12, 2021, on the Majors Field at Murphey Candler Park.

Martin will be laid to rest in the Washington Memorial Cemetery next to his mother and great-grandfather and great-grandmother.
