Marion Gowen Yancey

Marion Gowen Yancey, 90, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus at her home in Stockbridge, GA. On Friday, February 6, 2026. Marion was born May 27, 1935 in Atlanta, GA. She married her high school sweetheart, Marvin E. Cole and had 4 daughters. She was widowed in 1979 and married James R. Yancey in 1992. She retired from Southern Bell (Bell South/AT&T) in 1994 and moved to Young Harris, GA. She was preceded in death by her husbands, her grandparents, Lewis and Edith Teems, her mother, Hazel Wilkie, her 2 sisters, Patricia Davidson and Anita Mattox, her brother, Winston Gowen and two sons-in-law, Alan Davis and Mike Terrell. She is survived by her daughters, Renee Lunsford, Lynne Davis, Michelle McDonald (Dean) and Marla Price (Ray); 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, GA. On Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 1:00 pm.
