Margaret Wilson Denney

Margaret Wilson Denney, age 90, died September 10, 2015 after a short illness. She was born on April 30, 1925 to Lane and Lois Wilson of Lamar County, Georgia. Mrs. Denney was preceded in death by Henry Pope Spence, William F. Denney and her youngest son, James Mark Spence. She is survived by her children Michael Henry Spence, Peggy Jean Gunter and Shelia Joyce Carrasco. Mrs. Denney had eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was a resident of Coosawatee River Resort, an avid gardener and a devoted member of First United Methodist Church of Ellijay, Georgia. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2015, 3 PM, at the First United Methodist Church of Ellijay with Rev. Thomas Shores, Rev. Oscar Carrasco and Rev. Sharon Watkins officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church of Ellijay, 75 McCutchen Street, P. O. Box 472; Ellijay, GA 30540.
