Lola Mae Childers

Funeral services for Lola Mae Cochran Childers, age 85 of Fayetteville, will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Inman United Methodist Church, 151 Hills Bridge Rd, Fayetteville, GA with Reverend James Hanna officiating.

Mrs. Childers passed away March 23, 2017 at Doctor’s Hospice in Fayetteville, GA.

Born on July 4, 1931 in Banks County, Georgia, Mrs. Childers was the daughter of the late Dallas and Retha Andrews Cochran. Of the Methodist faith, Mrs. Childers enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends, shopping, and traveling. She was employed with Owens Illinois Glass for about 28 years. She retired in 1990. Mrs. Childers is preceded in death by her husband Asbury Cicero “AJC” Childers, Sr.

Survivors include special friend Junior Hale, son Terry Childers and wife Charlene, son Asbury Cicero “Joey” Childers, Jr. and wife Beverly, daughter Connie Childers Lantz and husband John, son Kenneth Childers and wife Barbara, sister Evelyn Cochran Frady and Virginia “Jean” Cochran Ryder and husband Bill, as well as 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Inman United methodist Church following  the funeral service.
