Lelan Carsie Joiner

Mr. Lelan Carsie Joiner passed away December 30, 2016. Mr. Joiner was born in Vienna, GA. His parents were John Julian and Verona Patterson Joiner. Mr. Joiner joined the U.S. Navy in 1943 and served on the USS Pennsylvania until 1946. He joined the Atlanta Fire Department and retired in 1980. Mr. Joiner’s hobbies and activities included being a professional diver, a world traveler, and he was an avid golfer. He is survived in death by his wife of 57 years, Georgia Anne Storck Joiner; 2 sister in laws, Jan Mees Rick and Mary Lynn Chadwick Mike; and 8 nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 3pm Sunday, January 8th, 2017 at Arlington Memorial Park. There will be a reception after the service at the Joiner residence.
