Jonesboro, GA – Ken Stuart passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Piedmont Hospital. Ken was born October 29, 1938, in Forsyth, Georgia, to the late Charlie C. Stuart and Lynn Batchelor Stuart. He graduated from Mary Persons High School, and attended the Georgia Institute of Technology Ga Tech where he studied mechanical engineering and participated in the Army ROTC program. Following the completion of school, he served in the Army National Guard. At the completion of his service, he spent many years of his career with Simons-Eastern Engineering, followed by other engineering services and consulting firms specializing in the pulp and paper industry.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Jane Stratford Stuart of Jonesboro, GA; sons Chandler Betsy Stuart of Atlanta, GA; Jeff Andrea Stuart along with grandchildren Andrew, Jackson, and Hailey of Palmetto, GA.
