Kenneth Neil Jordan died January 24, 2019, at Regency House retirement community in Decatur, following a long illness. He was 79. An accomplished painter, writer and make-up artist, he was also a walking encyclopedia of cinema history and an avid book collector. As a youth, he appeared on local television as a puppeteer. He was born September 3, 1939, in Atlanta, where he lived most of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Catherine Crawford Jordan; and is survived by two brothers, William (Diane) and Donald; a niece, Virginia Maze (Andrew); three nephews, Neil (Kimberly), Todd (Heather), and Matthew; two grand-nieces, Vivian Jordan and Adalynn Maze, and a grand-nephew Benjamin Jordan. He is also survived by a devoted “honorary nephew” and best friend, Graem Kinsella. A memorial service will be held at a date and location to be announced.
