Kay Paris. Born Kathryn Barnum, July 15, 1924. Attended Simmons College in Boston, where she married Robert Playfair and had two children, Jonathan and Judith (deceased). Lived in Vermont with second husband, Raoul Paris, one daughter Nichea. Moved to Atlanta in 1964. Secretary for the Unitarian Church of Atlanta during the turbulent civil rights movement of the 1960’s. Was the first secretary for the Chaplains office at Grady Hospital from 1973 until retirement in 1990. She was an active duplicate bridge player (silver life master) and avid reader. Deeply mourned the death of only grandson, Nicholas, in 2011. Survived by children, Jonathan and Nichea, in Atlanta and two granddaughters, Sarah and Karen Lundy, in California. A service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
