Jennifer Marie Dooley McDonald, age 49, of Heflin, Alabama, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout her journey, Jennifer showed incredible strength, courage, and grace.
Jennifer is survived by her beloved husband, Tom McDonald; her children, Sarah, Connor, and Ethan McDonald; her parents, Dan and Elaine Dooley; her sister, Stephanie (Matthew) Seymour; and her niece and nephew, Ryan and Logan Seymour.
Jennifer and Thomas “Tom” shared 26 years of marriage. They built a life and a family filled with love, memories, laughter, and countless moments that will be cherished forever. Jennifer’s greatest joy was being a mother to her three children, Sarah, Connor, and Ethan. She loved them deeply and was incredibly proud of each of them. Being their mother was one of the most important and meaningful parts of her life.
Jennifer found great joy in the simple things in life. She loved to bake and enjoyed cooking. She loved being outdoors, hiking, and spending time in her garden. She found peace in nature. Jennifer was also passionate about living a healthy, natural lifestyle. She was thoughtful about what she ate and the products she used, always looking for ways to take care of herself and live life in a way that felt true to her.
Above all, Jennifer loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She is survived by her beloved husband, Tom McDonald; her children, Sarah, Connor, and Ethan McDonald; her parents, Dan and Elaine Dooley; her sister, Stephanie (Matthew) Seymour; and her niece and nephew, Ryan and Logan Seymour.
A very special thank-you goes to Jeanie for everything she did for Jennifer and the family. Her kindness, compassion, and willingness to be there when the family needed her meant more than words can express.
Jennifer will be remembered for her strong spirit, her caring heart, her sense of humor, her determination, and her love for the people and things that mattered most to her. She lived life in her own way, found happiness in the simple things, and never gave up easily.
She leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, memories, and stories that will continue to be shared for years to come.
Jennifer will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
